Strait hairs are probably the most common breed. The come in all sizes from dwarf to fully-grown. They come in a large variety of colours. From brown to silver. They are the easiest to breed and are the most common for pets. Although not the prettiest or cavies breeders still pay top dollar for pedigree ones.

Here are my pedigree strait hairs. I will update them when I get new ones.

This is Mistufe. Mistufe is the dominant female strait hair that we have. In this picture she is pregnant. That?s why her belly is bulging out. She is very dominant about one corner of her cage. If anyone comes near her when she is in her corner she will bite them until they go away. She is always in her hutch and loves lettuce compared to any thing. If they get carrot she will eat about half and will have a green chin and nose after.

This is Besy. She is the one who always eats all the food. She eats stacks. In fact, I hardly ever see her not eating. She is a self-coloured black guinea pig and will eat anything. Once on her birthday she ate a candle. If you want that picture e-mail me at [email protected]. She is very adventurous and she absolutely loves pumpkin.
